28-Day Tea Plan Based on Your Menstrual Cycle

Using herbal teas is a gentle, effective way to support hormonal fluctuations throughout your cycle. This plan synchronizes specific herbs with your phases to manage energy, aid detoxification, and promote calmness by suggesting distinct teas for your morning (energizing) and evening (soothing) routines.

Below you’ll find an extensive list of teas, a different one for each day. The purpose is to inform and inspire you, as of course it isn’t necessary to have a different tea each day. Try different ones, and you can repeat whichever work best for you.

PHASE 1: Menstrual (Replenish & Soothe) – Days 1-5

During this phase, the body needs iron and minerals to replenish blood loss, along with anti-inflammatory herbs to soothe cramps and discomfort. Focus on warming, gentle blends.

Day Morning Tea Focus (Warming/Mineral Rich) Afternoon/Evening Tea Focus (Anti-Inflammatory/Soothing)
1 Nettle Infusion (Crucial for iron and mineral replenishment). Cramp Bark Tea (For uterine relaxation and pain relief).
2 Ginger & Cinnamon Blend (Warming, boosts circulation and mood). Turmeric Tea with Black Pepper (Powerful anti-inflammatory for aches).
3 Red Clover Tea (Gentle blood cleansing and mineral support). Chamomile & Ginger Blend (Soothing digestive and nervous system).
4 Spearmint Tea (Refreshing, helps temper early hormonal shifts). Licorice Root Tea (Sweet, supports adrenal glands and eases fatigue).
5 Lemon Balm Tea (Elevates mood, easing out of period fatigue). Marshmallow Root (Soothing to mucous membranes, internal comfort).

PHASE 2: Follicular (Cleanse & Build) – Days 6-14

As estrogen starts to rise, energy increases. Focus on liver support for hormone metabolism and uterine tonics to build a healthy uterine lining.

PHASE 3: Ovulatory (Peak & Process) – Days 15-18

This is the phase of peak energy and peak estrogen. The focus is on cooling herbs and intensive liver support to help the body efficiently process and eliminate the spent hormones.
